MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) apologized Friday over the technical difficulties during the first day of the online registration for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).
According to PSA, it received more than 40,000 registration requests during the first minutes of the pilot launch which “caused delays in the sending of the one time passwords (OTPs) necessary to proceed with the registration.”
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the downtime of the pilot launch of the PhilSys online Step 1 Registration website earlier today,” the PSA said in a statement.
