Pope Francis offers prayers to Pinoys affected by typhoons

Pope Francis on Sunday (Monday in Manila) offered prayers for Filipinos affected by typhoons and floods.

The pontiff expressed solidarity with Filipinos.

“I express my solidarity to the poorest families and those who are doing all they can to help them,” the Pope said.

Several provinces were devastated by four typhoons that hit the country one after another.

Floods and landslides killed dozens and forced hundreds of thousands of families to flee their homes.

On Sunday, Bishop Broderick Pabillo called on the faithful to help the victims of calamities.

“In all of these, we are being challenged to stand up together and put our resources together and help,” Pabillo said.
