THE country logged 1,530 new cases of coronavirus disease on Sunday, bringing the total count to 407,838, the Department of Health (DoH) said.
Only 6.3 percent of the cases, or 25,677, was deemed active.
Most of the cases were mild, the department said.
The total number of recoveries jumped to 374,329, 91.8 percent of all cases. The DoH reported 11,290 new recoveries.
However, 41 more patients succumb to the respiratory disease, bringing the death count to 7,832.
The global case toll is now at 53.9 million, while the death toll stands at 1.3 million.
