MANILA, Philippines — As the country celebrates Christmas in the midst of the lingering threat of the coronavirus disease and the effects of recent typhoons, Malacaang is calling Filipinos to extend more compassion, understanding, and patience to their fellowmen.
In his Christmas message, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the country “struggles to confront the various challenges that we faced this year.”
“The pandemic and the natural disasters brought fear and sadness but during these difficult times, we heal and recover as one,” Roque said.
