Pagasa: Rains expected in E. Visayas, parts of Mindanao due to LPA

MANILA, Philippines — The trough or extension of a low pressure area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Soccsksargen and Davao regions on Thursday, according to the state weather bureau.

The LPA was last spotted 820 east of Davao City, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4 a.m. weather bulletin.
