Over 63,000 individuals get COVID-19 vaccines in Manila

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 63,346 individuals have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the city of Manila, according to the local government unit (LGU).

The figure as of April 8 is composed of health workers, senior citizens, and persons with comorbidities, although the LGU has yet to provide a breakdown of the number of individuals from these priority sectors who have been inoculated.

Information from the Manila Public Information Office (MPIO) on Friday also showed there was a total of 11,881 vaccines administered on Thursday, the highest number of administered jabs in the city for a day.
