MANILA, Philippines — Filipino American Gina Ortiz Jones has been nominated by US President Joseph Biden as undersecretary of the Air Force at the Department of Defense.
The nomination of Jones, along with several other administration nominations in national security, was announced by the White House on Wednesday, eve of the Biden administration’s first 100 days in office.
According to a White House statement, Jones, a daughter of a Filipino immiungrant from Pangasinan, has spent her career working to protect US economic and national security.
