MANILA, Philippines — The country’s total caseload of COVID-19 infections has reached 1,513,396 cases after an additional 5,651 cases were reported by the Department of Health (DOH) on Monday.
According to the DOH, there are currently 47,561 active cases, which accounts for 3.1 percent of all the confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country since last year.
The total caseload for Monday represents 11 percentof some 50,385 people who were tested for the coronavirus last Saturday. The DOH generally releases new daily tallies based on test results submitted to it by laboratories the day before.
