6 of 127 NCR hospitals under ‘critical’ level in terms of bed capacity

MANILA, Philippines —Six out of 127 hospitalsin Metro Manila were tagged under “critical” level in terms of bed capacity solely for COVID-19 patients, data from the Department of Health (DOH) as of Nov. 25 showed.

This figure is a decrease from 10 hospitals recorded as “critical” last Nov. 18, consisting of 129 hospitals.

Of the six hospitals under “critical” level in the new data, three have already reached 100 percent bed occupancy, namely:

MaryChiles General Hospital Inc.,
Ospitalng Muntinlupa, and,
PhilippineChildren’s Medical Center

The DOH classifies occupancy levels for COVID-19 beds in health centers as either “critical,” “high risk,” “moderate” and “safe.”
