LUCENA CITY —- At least 209 persons were caught by policemen in Cavite province over the last three days for violating health and safety protocols against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The Cavite police public information office reported on its Facebook page that from Feb. 13 to 15, the violators did not wear face masks or disregarded the curfew.
The violators paid fines or rendered community service in their respective municipalities.
As of Feb. 15, the province has recorded 20,152 COVID-19 cases, with 18,639 recoveries and 559 deaths. Cavite still has 954 active virus carriers.
