Zambales naval academy on lockdown anew after COVID-19 hits 3 staff members

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales —- The training station here of the Philippine Navy was again placed on lockdown after three of its personnel tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Thursday, April 8, officials said.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the infected personnel of the Naval Education and Training Doctrine Command Center (NETDC) had no travel history outside the province.

Bueno said the patients could have contracted the virus from a visitor from Cavite.

Last January, the NETDC was also placed on temporary lockdown following an outbreak that hit its students.
