VisMin Cup gets blessing as pro Cage league

The Games and Amusements Board (GAB) on Wednesday approved the Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup as a professional cage league, marking the start of a new era of basketball in the regions as 12 teams have already signed up for the inaugural season set to start on April 9.

Baham Mitra, the GAB chair, and commissioner Eduard Trinidad, announced the approval of the VisMin Super Cup’s GAB license to operate as a professional league.

League chief operating officer Rocky Chan said that six teams each from the Visayas and Mindanao have joined the league, a much-needed development that will generate more jobs at this time of health and economic crises.
