MANILA, Philippines — The COVID-19 reproduction number in Metro Manila decreased to 0.93 for the previous week as research group OCTA notes a downward trend in all cities inside the National Capital Region (NCR).
The latest number covers April 18 to 24 according to a report released by OCTA on Sunday.
The reproduction number indicates the speed of the virus’ spread. The higher the number, the faster the spread.
The research group, which analyzes COVID-19 trends,noted that all seventeen local government units (LGUs) in NCR had a decrease in the number of new COVID-19 cases compared to the preceding week.
