Typhoon Bising weakens over Philippine Sea

MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Bising (international name: Surigae) has weakened while decelerating over the Philippine Sea of Babuyan Islands, the state weather bureau said Thursday.

Bising was last spotted 350 kilometers east of Calayan town, Cagayan, packing maximum sustained winds of 150 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 185 kph, while moving northward at 10 kph, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 5 a.m. bulletin.
