MANILA, Philippines — Scottie Thompson is set to remain with Barangay Ginebra for the foreseeable future after signing an extension with the club Friday.
Danny Espiritu, Thompson’s agent, said on Friday that Thompson did sign the contract extension at San Miguel athletic director Alfrancis Chua’s office.
Thompson also posted the development on his Instagram account.
“Huge thank you to Boss Al! #NSD,” posted Thompson in Filipino.
Thompson’s initial contract was set to expire in August making him an unrestricted free agent, a valuable asset for any team in the PBA.
That free agency, however, won’t be happening as Thompson is locked in for three years with the Gin Kings.
