MANILA, Philippines — The Taguig City government on Thursday urged its residents to protect senior citizens from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after two sexagenarians in the city recently tested positive for the virus.
In a statement, Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano said a 66-year-old man from Barangay Ibayo Tipas contracted the coronavirus disease and is currently admitted at the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital.
Cayetano also said the male patient was infected while overseeing UV Express units at a terminal in Pasig City.
