MANILA, Philippines — The city government of Taguig is targeting to reach herd immunity by November as it plans to vaccinate 10,000 residents a day.
Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano bared in a media conference Wednesday the local government’s “medium-term projection” of vaccinating 10,000 individuals starting September 1 in order to achieve herd immunity by November 7.
“We are now committing to vaccinate 10,000 a day,” he said. “If the vaccine comes, we will be able to fully vaccinate Taguig by November 7.”
