Tacloban health exec downplays gov’t decision to put city in GCQ

TACLOBAN CITY — The health officer of this city downplayed the decision of the national government to put the city under a general community quarantine (GCQ).

Dr. Gloria Fabrigas said while the cases of the new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the city has reached double digits in the past few days, there were also instances that it recorded single digits of new cases.

“There is nothing to be alarmed of. It is better for us not to let our guards down,” she said in a phone interview.
