MANILA, Philippines — A suspected member of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters was killed in an encounter in Maguindanao on Wednesday morning, the military said.
Troops of the Limpongo Patrol Base were conducting checkpoint operations in Brgy. Limpongo, Datu Hoffer town when they encountered around 10 suspected BIFF members, Western Mindanao Command chief Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan Jr. said in a statement Thursday.
