MANILA, Philippines — A suspect in the killing of a Makati police officer was arrested on Monday in Las Pias, 10 years after the crime, Col. Oscar Jacildo, chief of the Makati City Police Station said on Tuesday.
The suspect, 29-year-old Fatima Nacario of Barangay East Rembo, Makati.
She was one of 12 people implicated in the stabbing of Buay Mendoza 0n Sept. 20, 2010. Buay then had a rank of police officer 2, the equivalent of corporal under the current police ranking system.
He was responding to a report about someone firing a gun in Barangay East Rembo. Several people then ganged up on him and stabbed him to death.
