Sotto sees ‘value’ on Parlade’s warning about progressive groups

MANILA, Philippines —Senate President Vicente Sotto III has found “value” in the warning earlier issued by Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. to female celebrities engaging with progressive groups.

After a former lawmaker said the New People’s Army (NPA) prioritizes recruitment among activists, Sotto surmised that Parlade’s warning might be “correct.”
