MANILA, Philippines — After his admission that he is mulling to run for vice president in the 2022 polls, Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III now said he is “inclined to accept the challenge to serve the country for a different purpose other than lawmaking.”
Sotto, in a statement on Monday, disclosed that several people and groups have been approaching and asking him to consider running for a higher office.
“I am still contemplating on the idea and I am weighing my options. I have yet to make a decision. I will have a better answer by the third quarter of the year,” he said.
