SMC Tollways Corp. gave truck operators transporting agricultural products until Oct. 31 to enroll for the government’s 5% toll discount across its network.
The company said that trucks may apply for 5% discount on five expressways such as the Skyway system, NAIA Expressway, South Luzon Expressway, STAR Tollway and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway.
To qualify, trucks must be accredited by the Agriculture department and must enroll in the toll discount program, it said, adding that enrollment officially ends on Oct. 31 and no application will be accepted beyond October.
It said that new applicants must submit a copy of the vehicle’s official receipt and certificate of registration, and a valid Department of Agriculture (DA) accreditation and a copy of Autosweep RFID card.
“Truck operators previously enrolled in the program will automatically qualify for the November discount, provided their DA accreditation remains valid. Those whose accreditation has expired must enroll again,” it said.
