MANILA, Philippines — The recent statements from China’s foreign ministry spokesperson about the Hague ruling anniversary — reiterating their claim on the West Philippine Sea — came as no surprise, Vice President Leni Robredo said Tuesday.
But while it is expected for a country like China to stick to its interests even if it means defying logic, Robredo hopes that the Philippine government would also make its voices heard and push for Filipino interests.
