MANILA, Philippines—San Miguel is once again looking to bolster its ranks as it now plans to trade for former scoring champion and Rookie of the Year CJ Perez.
As per reports, the Beermen and Terrafirma have reached an agreement that would send Perez to San Miguel in exchange for role players Gelo Alolino, Russel Escoto, Matt Ganuelas-Rosser and a first round draft pick in this year’s rookie selection.
The PBA Office, however, will still have to approve of the mammoth deal through its trade committee but the league has yet to receive the official papers for the transaction.
This wasn’t the first time that San Miguel dabbled in a landscape-changing trade in the past four years.
