MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine National Volleyball Federation’s tryouts for the volleyball and beach volleyball teams came to an end on Friday with the sand courts of Subic hosting the hopefuls.
Sisi Rondina, Bernadeth Pons, Dzi Gervacio, Dij Rodriguez, Jude Garcia, Jaron Requinton and James Buytrago, the bronze medal winners in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, led the tryouts along with the other hopefuls.
A total of 21 women and 21 men heeded the call for the tryouts including former SEA Games captain Jovelyn Gonzaga who signified her intention to play for the country’s beach volleyball team.
