MANILA, Philippines — Scattered to widespread rain will be experienced in the eastern part of Luzon and the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) region as the country remains affected by the effects of two low-pressure areas (LPA) and the northeast monsoon or “amihan,” the state weather bureau said on Sunday.
Weather updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) as of Sunday afternoon said the two LPAs are still being monitored — one located 355 kilometers west of Cuyo in Palawan, and another 80 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon.
