LUCENA CITY —- With the death of a coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patient in this city on Sunday, Quezon recorded 36 fatalities in January amid the declining number of validated new virus carriers in the province.
The Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), in its 5 p.m. bulletin on Sunday, Jan. 31, reported that the province logged a total of 224 COVID-19 fatalities, 36 of them recorded into the first month of 2021.
The IPHO records showed that 25 COVID-19 patients died in December, 53 in November, and 42 in October.
The records also indicated a downward trend of new COVID-19 cases in the province for the past four months.
