MANILA, Philippines—Five of the 12 hospitals in Metro Manila that had been on critical status because of a tsunami of COVID-19 cases have already reached 100 percent bed occupancy, according to data from the Department of Health (DOH) as of May 26.
These were:
A Zarate General Hospital
Calalang General Hospital
F.Y. Manalo Medical Foundation
Metro North Medical Center and Hospital Inc.t
VRP Medical Center
The numbers were lower than 13 hospitals tagged as critical and 10 with fully used COVID-19 beds last May 19.
