SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—A man described by police as a communist rebel surrendered to authorities in the province on Wednesday (May 12).
The man, identified only as Ka Jordan, was a member of the communist group Bagong Hukbong Bayan, according to a report of the regional police office in Central Luzon.
In a statement, Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon, Central Luzon PNP chief, said Ka Jordan surrendered to authorities because of hardship and poverty in the rebel movement.
