MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines and Sri Lanka have agreed to further enhance their cooperation as the two nations marked 60 years of diplomatic relations.
The commitment to boost the two countries’ ties was made in a telephone conversation between Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa held on Monday, June 28, Malacaang said.
“Over the last six decades, we have pursued fruitful relations. We look forward to sustaining this and exploring further the full potential of our cooperative ties,” Duterte said, as quoted in a Malacaang statement on Wednesday.
