MANILA, Philippines — The country on Friday reported 2,651 additional infections of the coronavirus disease, the highest number of new Covid-19 cases so far this 2021, raising the nation’s total number of Covid-19 cases to 571,327.
In its case bulletin at 4 p.m., the Department of Health (DOH) also reported that the total active cases reached 34,498, which is six percent of the total Covid-19 caseload in the country.
Meanwhile, DOH reported 561 recoveries and 46 more fatalities of the disease, bringing the total count of recoveries and deaths to 524,582 and 12,247, respectively.
