PH calls for immediate release of Myanmar’s Suu Kyi

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines is calling for the immediate release of ousted Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who was detained after a military power grab in the Southeast Asian country.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. issued the call during Tuesday’s Informal Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Foreign Ministers Meeting on regional and international issues.
