PGH: COVID-19 bed occupancy lowest since March

MANILA, Philippines — The current occupancy for COVID-19 dedicated beds at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) is going down and is now at the lowest since early March, the hospital spokesperson said Monday.

Dr. Jonas Del Rosario said that only 153 COVID-19 patients are admitted at the PGH as of Sunday.

“We have 250 beds for COVID and as of last night’s census, we have 153 confirmed COVID [patients] who are admitted to PGH. That’s probably less than 70 percent of the occupancy already,” he told ABS-CBN News Channel.

He noted the figure is the lowest “since the first week of March.”
