MANILA, Philippines — Easterlies and the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will bring cloudy skies and rains over certain areas in the country, the weather bureau said Thursday.
In its 24-hour forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Masbate, Sorsogon, Biliran, and Samar provinces.
It warned that flash floods or landslides may occur due to light to moderate with at times heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon, with no significant impact.
