CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— Pampanga on Sunday (March 21) received 5,020 doses of COVID-19 vaccines produced by British-Swede drugmaker AstraZeneca and 432 vaccine doses from Chinese pharmaceutical firm Sinovac Biotech Ltd, which are the third set of vaccines to be allocated to the province.
The latest shipment from the Department of Health is the second dose for medical frontliners who received their first injections during the first wave of inoculations this month, according to Dr. Ming Ignacio, provincial health officer.
The initial sets consisting of 846 doses of the Sinovac vaccine and 5,130 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine arrived on March 8 and 12, respectively.
