Two nursing attendants at Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital in San Fernando City, Pampanga, who were photographed taking a quick rest while “drenched in sweat under their PPEs,” recently drew admiration and respect from Filipinos online.
Third-year resident doctor Kaydee Magsino-Santiago shared on Facebook the photo of the nurses, Ronnie and Jazzel, taken at 1 a.m. on April 18. Magsino-Santiago described them as “unsung heroes” for their commitment during this time of the pandemic.
