Nothing is going right for Filipina pro golfer Bianca Pagdanganan as the LPGA rookie slid down near the bottom of the CME Group Tour Championship leaderboard on Saturday (Manila time) at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Florida.
Pagdanganan felt the immense pressure as she started the second round with a par and immediately followed by a sorry triple bogey at the 2nd hole and three more bogeys at the 3rd, 4th and 6th holes before heading to the second half of the match.
Just like how she started the round, Pagdanganan parred the 10th and sank another couple of bogeys at the 11th and 12th holes.
The Arizona Wildcats lady golfer put up a steady showing in the 13th as she made four pars before hitting her first and only birdie at the 17th hole and ended round two with another par for a total of 79 or seven-over-par.
After two rounds, Pagdanganan garnered a total tournament score of eight-over-par and found herself just two spots ahead of the last place.
The 23-year-old Pagdanganan dropped from shared 45th to tied 69th place with American Kristen Gillman, as she wrapped up the second day of the tournament.
The tournament is in a no-cut game format, so Pagdanganan still has a chance to better her position in the last two days of the competition.
World No. 1 South Korean Jin Young Ko has overtaken American Lexi Thompson with a tournament-best of nine-under-par. Thompson dropped to second with another South Korean, Sei Young Kim, both trailing the current leader with just a point.
Pagdanganan takes the last flight of Day Three, teeing off at 10:50 a.m. Eastern Standard Time with Americans Britanny Lang and Natalie Gulbis.
