Pagasa: La Trinidad climate drops to 10.5 °C; expect colder days ahead

MANILA, Philippines — The agrometeorological station in La Trinidad, Benguet, was able to record a chilling temperature of 10.5C early Tuesday morning, the state weather bureau said as it observed the northeast monsoon becoming more prevalent in recent days.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), temperatures are likely to drop further in the coming weeks because the northeast monsoon or amihan starts to have a widespread effect on Luzon’s climate.

La Trinidad’s temperature reached its lowest in February at 6.3C.
