MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in most parts of the country due to two weather systems, the state weather bureau said Thursday.
The easterlies, or warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean will prevail in Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Sorsogon, Surigao, Dinagat Island, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi,the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The northeast monsoon will bring rains over cloudy skies with light rains to Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
