MANILA, Philippines — Senator Panfilo Lacson on Friday disclosed that Senator Manny Pacquiao has plans to run for the presidency in the 2022 national elections.
Lacson said Pacquiao has approached him several times regarding his plans for the 2022 polls.
“Sa Senate, kasi halos seatmates kami…two or three times, he approached me and sat beside me and he said: ‘Baka pwedeng magusap tayo.’ Kasi yun nga, may plano nga siya baka pwedeng tulungan siya especially sa budget, ‘yong mga ganon,” he said in an interview over ABS-CBN News Channel.
When asked if Pacquiao plans to run for the presidency, Lacson answered in the affirmative.
