Over P15-M worth of suspected ecstasy seized in QC

MANILA, Philippines – Over P15-million worth of suspected ecstasy tablets were seized by authorities on Tuesday afternoon at the Central Post Office in Quezon City, leading to the arrest of two people.

Three parcels containing 9,243 pieces of the alleged party drugs were found. They were labeled as “baby clothes, a handbag, and shoes.”

The police identified the suspects as Rowena Evangelio y Canapit, 40, from Rizal; and Michael de Guzman y Lomibao, 36, from Pasig City.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) initial report, Lomibao was the motorcycle rider while Canapit was the authorized representative of the consignee of the package.
