MANILA, Philippines — Over 200,000 healthcare workers nationwide have received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. reported on Wednesday.
In a House briefing conducted by the trade and health committees Wednesday, Galvez told lawmakers that the government has so far administered 1,562,563 COVID-19 vaccine doses, including 989,703 to healthcare workers.
A total of 209,456 healthcare workers have received the second dose of the vaccine, Galvez said.
The vaccine czar added that 132,948 senior citizens and 180,315 individuals with comorbidities have also so far been vaccinated.
