MANILA, Philippines — About 2,100 residents of Paraaque City have received Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine during its launch of the vaccine on Tuesday, Mayor Edwin Olivarez said Wednesday.
Paranaque’s Sputnik V vaccination on Tuesday was held at a mall along Macapagal Boulevard.
Olivarez said that the number of medical frontliners and persons with comorbidities who received the Russian vaccine reached over 1,200, while senior citizens reached 800.
Vaccination will continue on Wednesday as the city government has yet to finish administering the 3,000 shots allocated to the city for the first dose.
