MANILA, Philippines—Champions are rarely the underdogs in their title fights.
ONE World flyweight champion Adriano Moraes, however, is in that predicament as he’s set to defend his title against the sport’s arguable greatest of all time in Demetrious Johnson.
Moraes (18-3) has held the title since January 2019 when he defeated rival Geje Eustaquio but Johnson, the ONE Flyweight Grand Prix champion, is his toughest foe probably of his career.
“For me, this is the best fight in the flyweight division in the world today,” said Moraes, who trains at the famed American Top Team, in an interview with ONE’s official website.
