MANILA, Philippines — As the number of daily COVID-19 cases in the country continues to decrease, the OCTA Research Group on Sunday said cases per day in the National Capital Region (NCR) are expected to average less than 1,900 by May 14.
In its latest monitoring report, OCTA said the COVID-19 reproduction number is at 0.67 from May 2 to May 8.
The research group also noted a 61 percent decrease in the average of new daily COVID-19 cases as compared to the peak of surge from March 29 to April 4.
An average of only 2,172 new infections was reported over the past seven days, said the research group.
