New evacuation center to rise in Legazpi City

LIGAO CITY —- A multi-purpose building that will serve as an evacuation center will be constructed in Legazpi City, Albay after its groundbreaking ceremony Friday.

The Philippine Amusement and Gamings Corporation (PAGCOR) donated the P50 million fund to build an evacuation center to be constructed in Homapon village through the request of the Ako Bicol (AKB) partylist.

“This is very beneficial and helpful for villagers in the occurrence of natural disasters and will also be used as a venue for trainings/activities in the community,” AKB Rep. Alfredo Garbin Jr. said.
