BACOLOD CITY — If active cases of COVID-19 in Negros Occidental hits 1,000, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson will consider gradually reducing the curfew hours in the province.
Curfew in Negros Occidental is currently from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
“If the cases drop, I will adjust the curfew from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.,” Lacson said.
As of Thursday, Negros Occidental has 1,456 active COVID-19 cases.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said the COVID-19 “epidemic wave” that hit Negros Occidental starting mid-April is now under control.
Diaz said the COVID-19 active cases in Negros Occidental that soared above 2,000 from April 15 to May 14 are now going down.
