BACOLOD CITY —- The Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator’s Office in this city was closed for disinfection starting Thursday, April 29, after one of its staff members tested positive for COVID-19.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said the employee had a fever and cough and was quarantined at the Mambukal Resort in Murcia.
Three of his close contacts will be swabbed for COVID-19.
If the three close contacts test positive, Diaz said more employees at the Provincial Administrator’s Office would have to be tested for COVID-19.
The other staff members of the Provincial Administrator’s Office will be isolated and observed for COVID-19 symptoms.
