MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila residents affected by the week-long enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) will most likely receive a P1,000 in-kind assistance from the government, Paraaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said Tuesday.
Olivarez, who is also the concurrent head of the Metro Manila Council, added that this was initially agreed upon by all 17 mayors in Metro Manila.
“‘Yan ang initially pinag-usapan dito sa Metro Manila Council para ma-augment po kaagad ito, yung LGU (local government unit) po muna magbibigay tulong sa aming siyudad,” Olivarez said on Teleradyo.
